Welcome to CKC puppy early education classes! My name is Kate, and I’m passionate about helping you and your furry friend start your journey together on the right paw. With nearly 11 years of experience in the vet med industry as a veterinary nurse, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of early socialisation and training for a happy, well-adjusted dog.

it is common knowledge that vet nurses come home with almost anything and during my time in a gp clinic i was the proud owner of rescue dogs, (the late deejay- pictured above) I’ve come to understand the critical role that early intervention plays in a dog’s development. Each of my rescue pups has taught me valuable lessons about behavior, trust, and the transformative power of positive training. This personal experience has reinforced my belief in the importance of providing a strong foundation during those crucial early months.

In addition to my veterinary background, I’ve spent 5 years honing my skills in grooming, understanding not just the aesthetic side but also how grooming can positively influence a dog’s behavior and comfort. I’ve completed the Hills Puppy Preschool course, equipping me with the knowledge to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for puppies and their owners.

I’m also committed to staying updated on the latest techniques and insights in pet care. My attendance at the DBT seminar on behavioral grooming has deepened my understanding of the relationship between grooming and a dog’s emotional well-being.
 

In my classes, I focus on creating a fun and supportive atmosphere where puppies can learn essential skills, socialize with others, and build confidence. Together, we’ll lay the foundation for a lifelong bond based on trust, respect, and joy.
